Chemicals Manufacturing Facility, Nottingham
This 3ha site housed a former manufacturing facility which was to be demolished and remediated for residential development.
4,800m3 of soils contaminated with predominantly solvents and hydrocarbons were biologically treated during a 6 month period.
The site was released in phases to allow the construction works to commence at the earliest opportunity.
In situ treatment of the ground water beneath the site was undertaken using chemical oxidation to destroy of the contaminants in the shortest possible timescale
