Who we are
For over a decade we have specialised in providing sustainable solutions to problems relating to contaminated land and groundwater remediation and during that time have dealt with a huge variety of brownfield issues for an array of clients. Some interesting facts about us are detailed below.
Since 1995, we have been providing our services to Shell (UK) Ltd, amongst others, for the remediation of Petrol Station forecourts. To date we have ‘cleaned up’ over 200 sites.
In 2000 we undertook our first on site low temperature thermal desorption project in the UK for the treatment of heavy fuel oils at a site in Slough.
During the 2001 foot and mouth crisis we provided gas management, odour control and leachate treatment services to MAFF for the largest foot and mouth burial site in the UK.
During two separate contracts for EMDA in 2002 and 2004 we successfully completed thermal treatment trials on the problematic lagoon material at the Avenue Coke works.
In 2005 we remediated one of the largest contaminated sites in Yorkshire, the former Holliday Dye and Chemicals site in Huddersfield. This former brownfield site now houses a variety of commercial and industrial properties.
In conjunction with our joint venture partners Hitech, we established the first soil treatment facility in Scotland in 2006. Shortly after opening we secured our first project with BAA to treat 8,500t of hydrocarbon contaminated soils arising from expansion works at Glasgow airport.
At the beginning of 2007 we commenced one of the largest in situ chlorinated solvent treatment projects to be undertaken in Northern Ireland.
